ISCO to Support Next-Gen RAN as a Founding General Member of OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation

March 3

ISCO International is pleased to announce that we have joined the Linux Foundation‘s new Open Centralized Unit Distributed Unit (OCUDU) Ecosystem Foundation. This initiative marks a major step forward in advancing open-source, AI-native Radio Access Network (RAN) innovation worldwide.

As a Founding General Member, ISCO is focused on advancing state-of-the-art Interference Management and Cancellation (IMC) technology for today’s RAN infrastructures, while strategically evolving our capabilities to support emerging AI-RAN architectures. This includes the integration of AI-assisted techniques designed to enhance interference detection, classification, and mitigation.

The OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation is an open collaboration hub dedicated to building a reference platform for RAN, including AI-based algorithms and solutions, which will support 5G and early AI-native 6G services. This global, community-driven model brings together industry vendors, operators, cloud providers, and research institutions — including leaders like AMD, AT&T, DeepSig, Ericsson, Nokia, NVIDIA, Softbank Corp., SRS, and Verizon — to co-develop and integrate critical components.

“ISCO’s patented IMC technology is essential for fortifying mission-critical defense and public safety networks against malicious attack, both today and tomorrow,” said Gordon Reichard, Jr., CEO of ISCO. “This partnership with the OCUDU Foundation is strategically aligned with ISCO’s commitment to guaranteeing that the future of emerging, next-generation RAN infrastructure will be driven by innovation, transparency and interoperability.”

OCUDU started with an investment from the National Spectrum Consortium (NSC) and the U.S. Department of War (DoW) FutureG Office, which awarded funds to AI-native wireless company DeepSig and Software Radio Systems (SRS) to build the initial software for OCUDU. By aligning global efforts under neutral governance, the Foundation accelerates progress for the entire ecosystem, enabling all partners to focus on innovative and monetizable technologies.
