PIM Hygiene

Locating and inspecting metal surfaces near antennas goes a long way to mitigating external PIM and keeping your network healthy. Our crews work quickly and thoroughly to sweep the surrounding area and remediate known and potential PIM sources on rooftops and other sites using standard PIM measurement tools and ISCO's proprietary technology.

This is the most cost-effective way to improve PIM-impacted sites: a first-pass with a PIM hygiene crew, followed by a PIM hunting crew only for the most troublesome sites.

PIM Hunting

After performing PIM Hygiene on-site, some cell sites will continue to be impacted by PIM. Typically this is due to the presence of a strong PIM source located on a nearby rooftop, building, or cell tower. And often there is more than one source.

Rapid identification and mitigation or elimination of off-site PIM sources require more specialized test and measurement equipment, and experience. Our PIM Hunting technicians are trained to hunt safely and meticulously and leverage ISCO's technology in order to resolve external PIM issues and restore the cell site to optimal performance.

Interference Hunting

Pesky sources of interference – from light ballasts, electronic devices, illegal jammers, out-of-band emissions (OOBE), and other types of sources – can sometimes be difficult to locate. It takes the right tools, a diverse working experience with RF, a knack for troubleshooting, and persistence.

ISCO’s experienced interference hunters are armed with the latest technology and industry best practices to efficiently locate systemic and transient sources of interference that degrade performance in all types of cell sites.  ISCO's advanced technology is the foundation for ensuring the network operates free from interference.
