The challenge that brought us to the coastal market was common — PIM from two transmit bands mixing together causing intermod products which reduced capacity and performance in the uplink. Installing ISCO’s ProteusCPRI with c-ONE PIM Canceler® immediately started cancelling 50% of the PIM, but the site still had problems. Using ISCO’s visibility and diagnostic tools, our engineers found faulty hardware on the RRU. After that was repaired we verified the results and left the site operating optimally.
Our simple PIM fix ended up including expert troubleshooting and data analysis to solve a long-term challenge unrelated to the original problem.
