High levels of wideband interference from digital TV signals caused our customer continuous harm across multiple PRBs. It was unpredictable and changing over time, with power levels above -85dB impacting KPIs. ISCO’s ProteusCPRI with Dynamic Spectrum Recovery (DSR) removed the interference as it appeared and improved KPIs, returning the site to normal operation.
Besides digital TV, harmful wideband interference can also come from digital signage, repeaters, electronic devices, or even along border regions from other Mobile Network Operators. DSR cancels interference from any of these sources without notching the signal, ensuring maximum capacity remains available for users.
